VWR 1585 Floor Model Shaking Incubator

Description

The VWR 1585 Shaking Incubator is a floor mounted unit that contains both a shaking platform for flasks and an upper shelf that can be used for incubating plates - with a total interior volume of 5 cubic feet.    This unit is used but is in excellent condition and is guaranteed to work.  It is a former asset of a major pharmaceutical company that minimally utilized the unit before the site was closed.  Also included are the clamps for 250 mL flasks (about 10) and 500 mL flasks (about 3).  The platform is reconfigurable and you can purchase clamps for up to 2.8 L Fernbachs.  A very unique and useful feature is the 110 V outlet inside the unit - this is helpful if you want to plug in a tube inverted or stir plate.

Specifications:
-Temperature can be accurately controlled from about 8 C above the ambient temperature to 60 C.  When operating at 37 C, the temperature variability is only +/- 0.8 C.
-The speed range is from 30-400 RPM and can be changed in increments of 1 RPM
-The power required is 120 V and 12.5 amp.
This makes it easy to plug into a 120 V 20 amp outlet.  No other utilities are required for operation.
