Vintage Red Boye Spool Knitter
This spool knitter has four pegs that are formed as one piece with the spool so there are no parts for little knitters to lose. Includes an instruction sheet. This is a great tool to give youngsters the chance to explore the fiber arts. It will produce knitted cord that can be turned into small projects like pot holders or place mats up to full size throw rugs or afghans. Uses any weight yarn, even wire. Worsted weight yarn would probably be preferred. I have not been able to locate the needle, but any short, thick yarn or tapestry needle should work just fine. The original instructions are included, I have made copies since they had been rolled up inside the spool and were somewhat fragile. These used to be made out of old spools and nails, so even though this is a 70's item there is still a little more history here.
