Large Reliquary With Beautiful Colored Wax Figure Containing Relics From Saint Fortunatae & Saint Daciani; Apparently; The Wax Figure Represents One Of The Two Saints.
If you look near where the Wax Figure's Knees Would Be Located, You Can See A Thin Crack Running Across The Figure. There Are Some Other Small Flaws (Some Chipping To Paper In Various Areas & Etc.) Which Is No Surprise As This Reliquary Appears To Be VERY Old. The Blackened Paper Backing On The Back Of The Frame Appears To Be Coated With Some Type Of Very Old Sealant To Ensure The Reliquary Remains Undisturbed. The Front Of The Reliquary Is A Very Old Hand Carved Wooden Frame Which Appears To Have Been Sealed To The Rear [Box] Component With Wax Long Long Ago.
This Reliquary Looks Absolutely Beautiful When Displayed.
