    Description

    Fence clamp sleeve for a vintage Delta 6” jointer
    All new CNC machined threaded sleeve for locking the fence position on a vintage Delta 6” jointer.
    The jointer models these fit includes Delta #37-220, 37-205, and 37-207.    The original Delta part number and name for this part is NJ-236 – clamp sleeve.
    This sleeve is what the wrench hangs on, where the double-ended wrench can be moved to the rear for clamping the fence angle or to the front for moving the fence left or right.  The clamping bolt passes through the center of this sleeve.
    Many refurbishing projects find these sleeves corroded or bent where the clamp bolt goes through at the fence head casting. The sleeve can easily bent during rough handling of this jointer and/or by the inadvertent bumping of the fence head.  The threads are also often damaged and can make it difficult to adjust the fence.
    Some of the photos of the sleeves in this listing were taken prior to having the parts black oxide plated for corrosion protection and appearance.
    We do that because all black parts do not photograph well.  Be assured the shaft you will receive will be black oxide plated.
    There is also one photo that was taken of the same sleeves after black oxide plating.
